Arrecife
Arrecife now the capitol of the Island houses
approximately half of the inhabitants of the Island.
Arrecife is the only place we have found on the Island to have traffic lights, please let us know if you find any anywhere else.
The streets are quite narrow and the majority of them are one way, sometimes making it hard to find your way around.
Arrecife is good for shopping and there are many restaurants and bars.
Visit the Castle San Gabrial home to the Archaeological museum,
Castillo San Jose another old fort which was converted to a contemporary art museum.
The tallest building is situated in Arrecife, The Grand Hotel, recently refurbished and now very busy. One can visit the restaurants situated at the top
of the hotel and take in the view of Arracife. One can Buy a coffee and cake for 3 Euros.
There is an underground car park.
