Holiday Insurance
When traveling to Lanzarote or indeed any other destination it is most important that you have adequate holiday
insurance for you and all your family or guests.
Lanzarote does not have any health risks associated with it and no special vaccinations are required.
Spain has a reciprocal health agreement with the U.K together with the majority of
E.U. countries and will provide emergency
health care.
A European Health insurance card (EHIC) is a must and will entitle you to reduced cost
or free medical treatment while you are in Lanzarote or in a European Economic Area.
The EHIC is usually valid for a period for three or five years and will cover medical treatment that becomes necessary during your holiday,
either due to illness or accident.
The card will give you treatment the same as an insured person living in the same country that you are visiting.
You may however have to make a contribution to the cost of your care, as not all things are free of charge.
