Maguez is located approximately a twenty minute drive from the tourist area of Costa Teguise, yet it is quite an isolated village.
There are about one hundred and fifty house in the village which is surrounded by areas of black picon where crops of potatoes and corn are grown.
Maguez has a very peaceful and un spoilt character with a lot of Canarian architecture. Nearby there is a pretty church.
