Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca (White Beach) one of the main tourist resorts situated on the south coast tiny fishing village ten years ago, now a very busy but tranquil resort with many
restaurants and shops along the promenade. It was not long ago that there were only a small amount of hotels self catering apartments, where one could easily walk from one end to the other,
now however the resort has grown and  stretches from beyond the light house to Castillo de las Caloradas.
The harbour is quite small and is used by ferries sailing to Fuerteventura, a crossing of approximately twenty minutes.
The beaches at Playa Blanca are fine sand and are some of the best on the island with the fantastic beaches at Papagao, some of these beaches are used by naturists.
At Papagao there are no hotels shops and only one small restaurant giving a very relaxing atmosphere where time just seems to pass so slowly.
Papagao is reached over rough roads with an entrance fee for your vehicle.
