Puerto Calero
Puerto Calero is one of Europe's beautiful marinas with restaurants and shops along the front. It was Jose Calero that developed the marina with the company Puerto Calero SA being formed in 1983 with the construction beginning in 1986.
The development of Puerto Calero now includes many shops and restaurants overlooking the marina.
There are now many villas constructed together with apartments and hotels.
One can sit and relax with a drink or have a meal while watching the world pass by viewing the many yachts in the marina.
One can take a trip on the Yellow submarine or maybe fancy a sail on the catamaran to Papagayo. There are also some charter fishing boats and a water taxi.
Take some bread with you to feed the fish.
Puerto Calero is easily accessed by car or one can walk from Puerto del Carmen old town along the coast.
