Lanzarote like the rest of the Canary Islands are duty free, alcohol, cigarettes, fuel and perfumes are much cheaper than in the U.K and the rest if the E.U. I would recommend that you purchase your goods in the resorts rather than the airport or on your flights.

In Lanzarote you will find many shopping centres with all kinds of products being sold including jewellery, clothes, electrical goods, perfumes, alcohol and cigarettes. Cigarettes, cigars and alcohol can all be purchased at very reasonable prices in all the supermarkets.

Please take note that unlike other countries in the E.U. there is a very strict limit to the amount that you are allowed to take into the U.K. and other E.U. countries from the Canary Islands.

The limits are:---200 cigarettes or 50 cigars, 1 litre of spirits and 2 litres of wine.

If you know what you are looking for there are genuine bargains, also remember it is normal to make a near offer.

I would like to add a word of warning as there are some shops who do offer inferior products which may be copies, also check your change carefully when using cash and also check your credit card receipt to make sure the amount agrees with what you agreed to pay.
