Yaiza
Yaiza is a southern town, situated between Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca.
Yaiza has beautiful white houses and very well established gardens of trees and plants
many of which were brought to the island by ship from the tropics.
There are Lanzarote traditional architecture here with several buildings in the town square, the 17th century Los Remedios church at one end and the town hall situated at the other.
Yaiza is one of the best kept villages on the island and has been awarded several prizes for the cleanliness and well kept gardens.
There is also the galleria Yaiza which exhibits ceramics and local paintings which are also available to purchase.
